Our Story

Rooted in Compassion, Growing in Purpose

Mindful Energy Healing was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves access to healing, and healing is most powerful when it honors the whole person.

The Hearts Behind Mindful Energy Healing

Gloria Santos, Co-Founder of Mindful Energy Healing

Gloria Schwartz

Founder · Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), EdS

Healing is more than overcoming pain — it is the art of rediscovering the truest version of yourself.

For Gloria Schwartz, healing has never been simply a profession; it has been a lifelong calling. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), EdS, energy healer, and founder of Mindful Energy Healing, Gloria has dedicated her career to creating spaces where individuals feel deeply seen, understood, and empowered to transform their lives.

Her work is rooted in the belief that genuine healing occurs when science, compassion, and spirituality are allowed to exist together. Drawing from advanced clinical training, neuroscience, neuroplasticity, mindfulness, somatic practices, and energy healing, she thoughtfully integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic modalities to create a personalized experience for every client.

What makes Gloria's approach especially meaningful is the personal journey that shaped it. As the mother of a pediatric stroke survivor, she witnessed firsthand both the profound challenges and the extraordinary resilience that accompany healing — inspiring years of dedicated study in neuroplasticity, trauma recovery, meditation, and integrative care, and deepening her understanding that healing is rarely linear, yet with the right support, remarkable transformation is possible.

Today, Gloria works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, caregivers, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, chronic stress, grief, relationship challenges, and personal growth. She is equally passionate about supporting fellow helping professionals who devote themselves to caring for others while often neglecting their own well-being.

Beyond her clinical work, Gloria is committed to creating meaningful change within the community. Through Mindful Energy Healing and her nonprofit initiatives, she develops educational programs, therapeutic groups, wellness workshops, family-centered events, and community outreach — building spaces where healing is not a luxury reserved for a few, but a gift every person deserves.

Clients often describe Gloria's presence as calming, intuitive, authentic, and deeply compassionate. Whether someone arrives seeking emotional support, deeper self-discovery, or a more integrated approach to wellness, her goal remains the same: to provide an experience where people feel safe enough to heal, strong enough to grow, and inspired to create a life that reflects who they truly are.

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering the strength, wisdom, and light that have always existed within you.

Marcia

Therapist & Co-Founder

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” — Carl Jung

As a therapist, I am committed to providing compassionate, strength-based counseling. My goal is to foster a warm, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship that helps you navigate and resolve the concerns that brought you to therapy. I work collaboratively with clients, striving to help them find balance and lead more productive, authentic lives.

I completed an internship at Bonnie Brae, and as a licensed therapist I spent about a year at Richard Hall CMHC — working within a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, case managers, the justice system, and probation officers. It let me work closely with clients and their families; family therapy grew stronger over time as clients built the skills to navigate life's challenges with a strong support system.

Across both roles I've worked with culturally diverse populations in residential and community mental-health settings, providing individual, group, and family counseling. My hands-on experience includes facilitating IOP groups and counseling children, adolescents, and adults with severe and persistent mental-health conditions and co-occurring substance use — including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and complex trauma.

I draw on several approaches: I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients' goals, and I'm especially drawn to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an optimistic, nonjudgmental orientation that builds on each person's strengths and promotes overall well-being.

Before immigrating to the U.S., I taught for seven years in Brazil; working with underprivileged children shaped my outlook and inspired me to become a counselor. I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology from Rutgers University and dual Master's degrees in Professional Counseling and Education Specialist from Seton Hall University. I am a licensed counselor in New Jersey, certified as a Family Trauma Professional and Sex Offender Treatment Provider, and fluent in Portuguese.

Dr. Andrew Singh, Co-Founder of Mindful Energy Healing

Dr. Andrew Singh

Therapist & Co-Founder

Dr. Totaram Andrew Singh is a dedicated therapist, educator, and visionary leader committed to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges through compassionate, holistic care. With over 15 years of experience across New York City's behavioral health and human-services systems, he has worked extensively with diverse and high-needs populations — including individuals affected by serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, trauma, homelessness, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered approach, Dr. Singh integrates multiple counseling perspectives and therapeutic modalities to support healing, transformation, and long-term well-being. His work emphasizes that with consistent mental-health support and access to the right resources, individuals can not only stabilize but truly thrive.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and earned both a Master's in Professional Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree from Seton Hall University. He later completed a Doctorate in Education in Leadership and Management from Drexel University, with a focus on Global and International Education — combining academic training with clinical and leadership experience to approach therapy with both depth and a systems-level understanding of care.

A strong advocate for behavioral-health equity, Dr. Singh has led high-performing teams across supportive housing, assertive community treatment, domestic-violence, and outreach programs — developing innovative programming, improving service delivery, and securing stable housing for vulnerable populations.

His doctoral research, “The Power of Resilience: A Phenomenological Study of the Lived Experiences of Adult Survivors of Homelessness and Trauma in a Supportive Housing Program,” reflects his deep commitment to amplifying lived experiences and addressing systemic barriers to care.

His work continues to inspire transformation — grounded in the belief that the path to success begins with taking the first step toward something greater than one's current circumstances.
